While we at AF1 Racing are absolutely NOT fans of universal windscreens, we have heard of a few customers installing this kit onto V7's.

The .pdf installation instructions should be carefully studied prior to install, but here are some things to consider when installing a universal screen:

1. Once installed, be certain that your steering turns fully from left to right.

2. The ball sockets on the windscreen side of the universal mounts mean that the screen can never be truly locked in any one position. This usually results in the screen resting on the top of the headlight (at best) or tilting aft like an F1 spoiler (at worst).

3. The clamps on the handlebar are held by a single M6 bolt. This single bolt design provides barely adequate clamping force, so again, the screen may end up resting on the top of your headlight, or could even slide down, covering it.

4. Finding space on the handlebar to locate the clamps can prove challenging. Bikes the the V7 and V9 have a clearer bar than most, but you should expect to spend a not insignificant amount of time searching for a place to locate the clamps.
